I have posted travel blogs for various trips the past few years, and have created a new blog for each. This page is an attempt to create a hub for all of those blogs and to share plans for upcoming vacations.
2011 promises to be a fun travel year as we have trips to Vietnam (with Sharon) and Kenya (with our daughters and new son-in-law) planned. While neither trip will be very long, there are plenty of activities on the card for each.

I try to write updates to the blogs at the end of each travel day. When they actually are posted depends on the avilability of Internet service where we are. I have found, however, that more and more places around the globe are offering not only conventional Internet accessibility, but wireless as well. Uploading photos can be a long process in places with slower service, but I try to at least upload a few pictures from each location, putting them on the blog and Facebook.
I am a former journalist and writing the blogs lets me call old reporting skills into service. Even if no one else reads them, our family has fun going back months after a trip to recall the details of our travels.
